CINA, 10 ESECUZIONI A DEBUTTO LAVORI PARLAMENTO

PECHINO, - Nel giorno che vede l'apertura della sessione annuale del Parlamento cinese giunge oggi la notizia dell'esecuzione in Cina, per fucilazione, di dieci condannati a morte. A riportarlo e' il sito internet rednet.com che aggiunge come la sentenza sia stata emessa martedi' da un tribunale della citta' di Changsha, nello Hunan.
I condannati, tutti di eta' compresa tra i 21 e i 38 anni, erano accusati di omicidio, furto o traffico di droga: in particolare uno di loro, He Guoping, aveva ucciso con un coltello tre addetti di un internet cafe' di Changsha, dopo una disputa legata al cibo.
Non e' raro che in Cina, dove tuttavia non vengono forniti dati certi e ufficiali sulla pena di morte, le condanne capitali siano eseguite in coincidenza con i grandi eventi politici come, in questa circostanza, l'apertura dei lavori del Parlamento.

Chine: dix condamnés à mort exécutés au début de la session parlementaire

PEKIN, - Dix condamnés à mort ont été exécutés dans le centre de la Chine mercredi, à l'ouverture de la session annuelle du Parlement, a annoncé le site internet provincial Rednet.com.
Un tribunal de la ville de Changsha, dans le Hunan, avait approuvé mardi leur exécution, a ajouté le site.
Agés de 21 à 38 ans, ils avaient été condamnés à la peine capitale pour meurtres, vols ou trafic de drogue. L'un d'eux, He Guoping, 21 ans, avait tué à coups de couteau trois employés d'un bar internet de Changsha après une querelle au sujet de la nourriture, selon Rednet.com.
Ils ont été fusillés.
Les exécutions de condamnés à mort interviennent souvent à l'occasion de grands événements politiques en Chine.
La Chine, qui ne fournit pas de statistiques à ce sujet, est l'un des 25 pays au monde à avoir appliqué la peine de mort en 2006, exécutant au moins 1.010 personnes, selon Amnesty International, soit la majorité des 1.591 recensées par l'organisation.
