TEHERAN, 4 GEN - Tre uomini condannati a morte in Iran per avere violentato e ucciso diverse donne sono stati impiccati stamane in una localita' a sud di Teheran.

Le esecuzioni, di cui riferisce l'agenzia Irna, sono le prime dell'anno nella Repubblica islamica, dove nel 2009 sono state messe a morte almeno 270 persone, secondo notizie della stampa locale.

Le impiccagioni di oggi sono avvenute nel carcere di Varamin, una ventina di chilometri a sud della capitale. I condannati si chiamavano Ali Reza, Amin e Dolatkhan. La magistratura locale ha reso noto che i tre avevano violentato 12 donne e avevano uccise 7 di loro

Iran: trois hommes exécutés pour les meurtres et viols de plusieurs femmes

TÉHÉRAN, 4 jan 2010  - L'Iran a pendu lundi trois hommes, dont un ressortissant afghan, condamnés à mort pour avoir tué sept femmes et en avoir violé douze à Varamin (sud de Téhéran), a annoncé l'agence officielle Irna.

Ces exécutions, qui ont eu lieu à la prison de Varamin, sont les premières rapportées par les médias en 2010.

L'Iran a exécuté en 2009 au moins 270 personnes, selon un décompte de l'AFP basé sur les informations publiées par la presse locale.

En 2008, 246 personnes ont été exécutées en Iran, selon la même source, faisant de l'Iran le pays au monde exécutant le plus de condamnés après la Chine.

Le meurtre, le viol, le vol à main armée, le trafic de drogue et l'adultère sont passibles de la peine de mort en Iran, où les autorités estiment qu'une application sévère de la loi est indispensable pour maintenir la sécurité publique.
