Keiko Fujimori wants to restore death penalty in Peru
Keiko Fujimori, presidential candidate of Fuerza 2011, said she supports death penalty in Peru against sexual offenders against minors, reported Gestión.
Fujimori said that her parliamentary representatives will work during the next administration to restore the capital punishment against rapists of children.
“Currently eight people are murdered daily,” said Fujimori to the press during a visit to Chavín de Huántar settlement in Villa El Salvador.
Keiko Fujimori assured if elected president, she will have a very firm and harsh policy against crime and delinquency which, according to her, “has doubled” in these last years.
The daughter of ex-president Alberto Fujimori, convicted to 25 years of prison for human rights violations, currently has 17.4 percent of the vote intention, behind Toledo and Castañeda, according to a recent poll made by IMA.
